According to the Ministry of the Interior, pre-trial detention has now been requested for the suspected IS fanatic who was arrested on Saturday in the Sellrain district of Innsbruck (Innsbruck district). The 18-year-old had partial self-confession. His mother, who reportedly hit two Cobra officers with a car, was released and reported.

The mother of the Turkish-born suspected IS fanatic, who allegedly threatened to cut off the heads of police officers here, crashed two elite police officers with her car. One officer was seriously injured and another slightly injured.
Tip from foreign intelligence service
The detectives tracked down the suspect after a tip from a foreign secret service to the domestic defense of the constitution. The investigations by the Directorate of Intelligence and State Security (DNS) started immediately. In fact, the 18-year-old terror suspect and self-proclaimed IS fan is said to have rolled out concrete plans on social forums for attacks on police stations.

The young man has now admitted his radicalization during interrogation by the Tyrolean State Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Counter-Terrorism (LVT). In addition, the arrested man admitted to sympathizing with the terrorist militia IS and being in contact with other relevant persons. According to his own statements, the 18-year-old was planning to take action against the police, Interior Ministry spokesman Harald Sörös told APA.
An arrest warrant has been issued for the 18-year-old. His mother was on trial for aggravated assault and resisting the police.
