In Russia, a baby bear got lost in a settlement – when he met people there, he fled into a tree that was much too high and didn’t dare go down. Passers-by discovered the young animal, just shook it off and also ensured a soft landing.
The incident took place on the Kamchatka Peninsula of Russia: in Yelisovo, the young animal had apparently dared to get too close to people and then panicked. It climbed several meters into a tall tree and eventually got stuck there.
Eyewitnesses eventually called for help – but it apparently took too long for emergency services to arrive. So they improvised and made a jumping mat from a large piece of cloth.
Others shook the tree until the baby bear lost its grip on a branch. The blow was eventually softly absorbed by the helpers.
