Minutes after being released by police, a 35-year-old Moroccan man was caught committing a new crime. He is now in jail awaiting deportation.
On Monday, the 35-year-old was temporarily arrested by agents of the Landhaushof police station in Klagenfurt for several thefts in the Stadsgaleries. After partially confessing during the interrogation, he was released after consultation with the Klagenfurt prosecutor’s office. He would have been reported in general.
Criminal again 15 minutes after release
So at 8.10 pm the man was allowed to leave. Fifteen minutes later, the police were called to a bar in Klagenfurt, where a woman (23) had her mobile phone stolen from the counter.

“On the basis of the description of the person and a photo of the perpetrator, the man who had just been released could be identified,” the police said. A manhunt for the incorrigible thief ensued, which was successful around 9 p.m. The Moroccan was arrested again and the Federal Office of Immigration and Asylum (BFA) subsequently imposed detention pending deportation.
