Madrid, April 5 (EFE) – Nearly 12,000 people were assisted in less than a month at Ukrainian refugee assistance centers opened by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration in Madrid, Alicante and Barcelona. Profile: Female, 29 years old and with higher education.
According to the analysis of the questionnaires collected before March 31, teachers, economists, engineers, lawyers, accountants and doctors are distinguished by three valid Admission, Attention and Referral Center (CREADE).
In anticipation of Malaga opening tomorrow, half of the service people (6,355) passed through the Pozuelo de Alarcón Center (Madrid), the first to start work on 11 March. According to the ministry, assistance was provided to 4,880 families.
37% of the people serving in the centers are minors and 67% of adults are women. The average age of refugees is 29 years and, according to age groups, most are under the age of 17, followed by the 18 to 34 age group.
As for the level of completed education, 61% of the people who have passed through these three centers have higher education; 23% have completed vocational training or high school, while 12% have secondary education.
The main professions are teacher, economist, engineer, hairdresser, accountant, technician / operator and lawyer.
79% of Ukrainian refugees with higher education are women.
As for the route of arrival in Spain, the information collected shows that 29% used a bus and 27% a car, and 37% a plane.
Nearly one in three Ukrainians served comes from the Kiev region, while 9.9% from Lviv, 7.7% said their region of origin is Odessa and 7.4% from Kharkov.
Nearly 40,000 requests for temporary protection
Although 12,000 Ukrainian refugees have passed through inclusion centers, the number of temporary protection requests decided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which can also be submitted to police stations, is increasing to 39,907.
Inclusion also recalls launching a telephone number 900 67 09 09 with the La Caixa Foundation to send offers to families wishing to participate in a program to receive Ukrainian refugees.
This program, called Acoge Ukraine, is being piloted in Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga and Murcia and in less than two weeks has received offers from 1,600 Spanish families whose suitability is being evaluated.
Meanwhile, since the pre-agreement phone (+34 91 047 44 44) was switched on three weeks ago, 26,200 calls have been answered, most to make an appointment.
