The prosecution has charged public disorder and attack on authority a three young people that they mobilized on March 25 at the Tubacex factory in Amurrio (Álava) on the occasion of the strike called against the company, for which they demand sentences of more than four years in prison, as reported by the union LABORATORYwho has denounced that “another attempt is being made to punish and criminalize workers’ solidarity”.

The union has explained in a statement that the prosecution also accuses these people of acting “in coordination and aided by the hundreds of people” who took part in the mobilization.

“Another try punish and criminalize workers’ solidarity that arose during the Tubacex strike”, denounced LAB, lamenting that this is “not the first or the second time that an attempt has been made to sanction the mobilization in this company”.

The union has pointed out that “both during the strike and afterwards, several disproportionate fines, threats, accusations and actions that the workers of Tubacex and everyone who wanted to show solidarity with them had to suffer.”

The allegations “do not correspond to reality and do not obey specific facts”

The union has emphasized that that day it was “the Ertzaintza who had a totally disproportionate action, store and charge several times even with ‘foam’ on the head” of the protesters.

For this reason, he stated that the complaints and accusations against these three young people “do not correspond to reality and are not due to specific facts, but are part of a strategy of persecution of the workers’ struggle and solidarity”.

Faced with this situation, he has asked: “the cessation of allegations and allegations” against these three young people, against the workers, or against “any person in solidarity” who attended the mobilizations and demonstrations in Tubacex.

In turn, he has demanded the acquittal of these three people and of all those charged and prosecuted for acts related to the strike and the labor dispute in Tubacex.
