Two suspects were arrested on Tuesday after attacking two betting shops in Vösendorf (Lower Austria) for two days and threatening employees there with a gun.
In Vösendorf (Mödling district), two young suspects, men aged 19 and 23, attacked two betting shops to steal the daily proceeds. They carried out an attack, disguised with an FFP2 mask, on June 7, and on July 17 it was just an attempt. The perpetrators always threatened the employees with a gun.

The suspected robbers were convicted by examining the perpetrator’s vehicle and were caught on Tuesday. The duo were arrested at their home address in Vienna, with the support of the Special Unit WEGA and the Task Force to Combat Street Crime of the Lower Austria State Criminal Investigation Department. The two have now been taken to Wiener Neustadt prison, where they confessed, police said.
Damage in the four-digit range
The 19-year-old from Vienna-Meidling and the 23-year-old from Vienna-Liesing are charged with theft with violence. Overall, total damage is in the middle of the four-digit range.
