Dangerous situation for an Italian and his son on Friday evening on the Brenner Autobahn in Tyrol. Shortly after the toll booth Schönberg her car caught fire. Both were able to get out of the car. The A13 was closed for about ten minutes.
Spectacular scenes took place on the Brenner highway on Thursday evening! At around 6:35 p.m., a 52-year-old Italian was driving towards Italy with his son in their car. After the Schönberg toll booth, smoke suddenly rose from the engine compartment of the vehicle. The man drove into the hard shoulder. Flames were already coming out of the car.
The alarmed fire brigade from Schönberg was able to extinguish the fire. The two occupants were unharmed. However, the vehicle was a total loss. The A13 had to be completely closed off in this area to the south for approximately ten minutes.
