Loud bang on Thursday evening in Metnitz, Carinthia: The parked car of a 17-year-old rolled through a meadow without a driver and came to a stop against a neighbor’s house.
It must have been a shock when a loud bang suddenly occurred at a property in the municipality of Metnitz at 9 pm. The 17-year-old came home around 8:40 p.m. and parked his vehicle in front of the house in the municipality of Metnitz. A few minutes later the car should have started rolling. “The vehicle rolled on its own over a sloping meadow and crashed through a meadow and a wooden fence,” said a police officer. The car only stopped in the wall of the neighbor’s house.
Salvaged with tractor and winch
No one was injured in the incident. The Metnitz volunteer fire brigade was deployed with 25 men and three vehicles to save the 17-year-old’s car. “This required a tractor and a cable winch,” says the emergency services.
