The West Is Cautious About China’s Position On Taiwan, As The Asian Giant Calls On Diplomats

UN Secretary-General António Guterres, for his part, has expressed “concern” about Chinese military maneuvers around Taiwan. China, for its part, has summoned European and Japanese diplomats about the position of the G7.

The visit of United States House of Representatives President Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan has sparked an escalation of tensions, with the international community expressing concern over China’s response to the US visit.

Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, has called on all parties involved in the Taiwan Strait crisis to avoid “serious situations”.
