Ten people died in a fire at a family home in the US state of Pennsylvania on Friday. Particularly tragic detail: the victims are the family of a firefighter who was called to the scene.
“The victims are my relatives, including my son, my daughter and three of my grandchildren,” one of the firefighters told the local Citizens’ Voice newspaper.
Three people could save themselves
The fire in the town of Nescdeck killed a total of seven adults and three children, ages five, six and seven. Only three adults managed to get to safety in time.
The fire spread through the home early Friday morning, police said. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
