Terrible end to the “Summer Night’s Festival” of the Gaschurn music club in Vorarlberg! A 57-year-old festival visitor from Carinthia fell forward from a slope and crashed into a concrete slab. The man was so seriously injured that he died at the scene of the accident.
On Friday around 10 p.m., the 57-year-old man from Carinthia was at the civil music festival Gaschurn-Partenen, which the Montafoner organized together with their colleagues from Galtür in Tyrol. In the course of the evening – the exact time is unknown – the man went alone to the rear, unlit part of the fairground.
According to the police, the festival visitor subsequently fell through no fault of his own. He fell with his head over a steep embankment about 160 centimeters long and 80 centimeters high and landed with his head on a concrete slab.
At around 11:50 p.m., the seriously injured, lifeless man was discovered by another festival visitor, who immediately alerted the rescue services. CPR performed on the spot by the emergency doctor was to no avail – the 57-year-old man died on the spot from the consequences of his serious head injury.
