Shortly before midnight Friday, there was a violent altercation between a young man and the police in Rudolfskai in the city of Salzburg. The 24-year-old threatened to mutilate and kill her.
The 24-year-old Austrian had previously gotten into a scuffle with a 17-year-old Syrian citizen, who reportedly injured his face and left knee. After the police arrived to clarify the matter, the victim acted aggressively and threatened them several times. The 24-year-old resisted the arrest with kicks and headbutts. One officer was slightly injured.
The police officers searched the Austrian and found cannabis herb. In addition, the suspect repeatedly waved National Socialist speeches and defaced the detention room of the police station. The Austrian was taken to the Salzburg prison.
