A 24-year-old driver went off the road in Fernitz-Mellach (Styria) in the early hours of Sunday morning and collided with a power pole, which overturned as a result of the impact. The driver and her passenger were injured. In Spielberg, however, a driver also lost control and ended up sideways in a meadow.
Sunday, just after 4 o’clock, the 24-year-old was with her car Coming from Fernitz on the L312 towards Gössendorf. Then the woman from Graz left the road for unexplained reasons and collided with the electricity pole, which toppled over.
The young woman and her passenger (26) from Leibnitz were taken to the Graz Regional Hospital with unknown injuries. Police said the driver was not under the influence of alcohol.
Car stayed on its side
The cause of an accident that occurred about an hour and a half earlier in Spielberg is equally unclear. A man lost control of the car and ended up sideways in a meadow.
