On Sunday around 4.40 pm a serious industrial accident took place in Linzer Voest, in which a 49-year-old worker was fatally injured.
The 49-year-old worker from Traberg was seriously injured while working on a steel coil cutting machine and died at the accident site. The exact course of the accident has not yet been clarified.
The man would have been crushed by the machine. The colleagues of the deceased worker, who had to witness the tragic accident, were so shocked that questioning was not possible until now. The family was taken care of by the crisis intervention team.
Further investigations with the Labor Inspectorate will follow.
