A scuffle ensued, after which the suspect got hold of the weapon again. According to the police, the events then moved from the Kaiserstrae via Mariahilfer Straße to the Gurtel.
Kandlgasse Police Station officials, called by witnesses, eventually caught the suspect. The alarm pistol and ammunition were found in the man’s waistband and secured.
The police officers handed over the list dog to the animal protection service. The suspect suffered a nosebleed during the argument with the 25- and 41-year-olds, but no one else was injured, the police report.
