This shot, or “shot” as it is called in English, literally failed. While a Dutch holiday couple wanted to photograph themselves and the beautiful landscape in the Tyrolean Wildschönau, their BMW rolled 115 meters over a steep meadow slope. The tourists escaped unscathed, but their vehicle was completely destroyed.
The Dutch couple will probably never forget this holiday moment in the Tyrolean mountains. And that is certainly not because of the souvenir photos that were taken during the shoot in the middle of the natural idyll of Wildschönau. Because while the couple was taking pictures, their BMW suddenly started moving.
Tree uprooted by impact
“The car rolled over the side of the road and then about 110 meters down a meadow slope before hitting a tree head-on and coming to a stop after another five meters,” police said.
The force of the impact ripped the tree completely out of the ground. Fortunately no one was injured. However, there was massive damage to the BMW.
