Process in Vienna – a bouquet of roses for a waitress: blind after a blow

Date:

The Prater in Vienna – fascinating for children and tourists, a “Grätzel” for those who work there and their regular guests. Like the retired baker, who pursues his passion for games there – “Football, Salzburg vs. Sturm Graz”. And won 500 euros.

In his exuberance, he bought the whole bouquet from a rose seller and wanted to give it to the waitress. But she didn’t accept the flowers after looking at her partner who was also there.

“Kneading dough gives him strength in his hands”
There are two completely different stories about what happened next in the process. The accused partner claims to have been suffocated by the baker – “he has strength in his hands from kneading dough” – and was only able to free himself with a punch.

“Run away, he will kill you”
It literally stood out: the baker on the left has been blind ever since! And has a very different perception: “Somehow I got the impression that they wanted me to drive!” Because there is actually a local ban for him, “because I was often out of money”. An acquaintance warned him: “Run away, he will kill you.” So he jumped in a taxi.

When he bled from his eye the next morning, he was taken to the hospital. Despite two surgeries, his eyesight could not be saved. Judge Claudia Bandion-Ortner suspended: she wants to locate the rose seller and hear the coroner.
