Just days after a woman died on a roller coaster, another accident occurred while riding in Germany. Nine people were injured in the current incident at Legoland in Günzburg.
As the police announced, a train on the “Feuerdrache” roller coaster was braked too hard – a train traveling behind it then collided with it. The trains were evacuated one after the other, a Legoland spokeswoman said, according to “Bild”. All available rescuers from the theme park are on site – the park remained open after the incident.
The injured were said to have suffered bruises and abrasions. A Twitter user reported that acquaintances had broken ribs and were in hospital. According to the tweet, people were still trapped on the roller coaster shortly before 4 p.m.
It is the second incident on a German roller coaster in less than a week. On Saturday, a 57-year-old woman was thrown from a ride at an amusement park in Klotten, in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. She did not survive the fall from eight meters.
