On Saturday, shortly after 4 a.m., police officers were called to a brawl at a bar in the Neue Heimat district of Linz. A total of about 50 people could be found in front of the restaurant. The scuffle had previously started in the bar when the 51-year-old girlfriend of a 41-year-old contestant, both from Gallneukirchen, kissed a stranger.

Several people were injured in the fight, some seriously. Another 41-year-old injured participant from Leonding refused to reveal his identity. The man became more and more aggressive. In the end, he had to be arrested and taken to the police detention center in Linz. During the arrest, the suspect attacked and injured a police officer. Further investigations will follow.
