Serious accident at work Sunday morning in Mariazell (Styria): As reported by the Red Cross, a man from the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district cut off several fingers – he had his hand trapped in a log splitter.
Shortly before 11 a.m., a serious industrial accident occurred at Mariazell. A 54-year-old from the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district was working with wood in Halltal near Mariazell when, for reasons not yet elucidated, he got his hand in a log splitter. The man had several fingers chopped off.
Helicopter flew injured to St. Pölten
An emergency medical team treated the seriously injured man, who was then flown to St. Pölten University Hospital in the C 15 emergency medical helicopter.
