Witnesses alerted the police on Sunday morning after several shots were allegedly fired in Vienna-Landstrasse near the Swiss Garden.
A passer-by told police that a dispute between the two groups had escalated and that a person had fired multiple shots with a handgun. Then everyone fled. Shortly afterwards, the officers were able to investigate two victims (17, 18) and two suspects (24, 33).
Attack out of nowhere
The victims said they were attacked out of nowhere by several people. They allegedly threw a glass bottle and rocks at the two. After that, the situation escalated completely: one of the suspects fired several shots into the air with a blank pistol.
The 18-year-old was also allegedly beaten with a belt and kicked. After the police were notified, everyone involved fled.
Several shells near Wiedner Belt
The 18-year-old was injured in the attacks and was taken to hospital. The gun was seized from the suspects. This would belong to the 24-year-old and he was imposed a temporary firearms ban. In addition, several blank gun shells were found near the Wiedner belt.
The two alleged perpetrators have not disclosed the allegations. You are in custody.
