A bloody long weekend in the streets of Austria. Three prisoners died in Schladming and three children were seriously injured in Vienna.
Horror accident in Schladming: A woman from Vienna (42), driving from Salzburg towards Liezen and carrying two dogs, ended up in the oncoming lane of the B 320 on Monday morning. There she collided head-on with an oncoming car, in which there were four Vorarlbergers. The driver (27), his 20-year-old girlfriend and her parents (both 50).
The course of the accident has not been fully clarified
There were initially no witnesses, so the course of the accident could not be fully elucidated. In any case, the impact was so violent that the Viennese woman, mother and daughter had no chance of survival. The other two passengers were seriously injured. The dogs were taken to the shelter unharmed.
Another case in Vienna-Favoriten
A terrible accident also took place on the outskirts of Vienna on Sunday evening. A 29-year-old skidded on Klederinger Strasse in Favoriten and left the lane to the right. The black BMW with Viennese number plates first drove through a sign on a traffic island at too high speed and then came to a stop head-on against a tree.
Brave eyewitnesses immediately rendered first aid to the occupants of the totally destroyed car and set the rescue chain in motion. The driver and his passenger (30) got out themselves, but their three children (aged 5, 6 and 11) had to be freed from the wreckage by the Vienna fire brigade.
Family seriously injured
The entire family was injured, some seriously. The 29-year-old and his five-year-old son were flown to the hospital in a ÖAMTC helicopter, and their 11-year-old daughter in another helicopter. The six-year-old and her mother were taken away by ambulance. All children are said to have suffered serious head injuries in the crash.
Sad: Spectators who wanted to take pictures and videos again disrupted the operation.
