The Swiss insurance company Baloise has been the victim of a cyber attack. As the company announced, parts of the group’s IT systems were attacked, especially in Germany.
According to the announcement, the attack was discovered Monday. Baloise reacted immediately and took measures to repel the attack within a short time. The affected systems have now been identified and isolated and the situation is now being worked on together with external experts.
No customer data stolen
According to the current state of knowledge, no company or customer data has been stolen and no systems have been encrypted. There are currently some restrictions on the use of services and IT infrastructure for customers and employees in Germany.
At this point, however, Baloise does not assume that other system areas should be isolated. The company will continue to provide information about the incident as new information is obtained.
