The Austrian pistol manufacturer Glock achieved another record turnover in 2021 – as in the previous year. The turnover increase amounted to 13.9 percent to 888.8 million euros. “2021 was characterized by very strong demand and production at capacity limit throughout the year,” says the management report on Glock GmbH’s consolidated balance sheet for 2021.
The profit before tax for 2021 increased by almost 50 million euros to 262.69 million euros, the annual surplus by approximately 30 million euros to 197.3 million euros. The bottom line is that a balance sheet profit of 441.6 million euros was built up, the “Kurier” reported. The average number of employees increased by 380 to 2360 employees – including the US branch in Georgia.
Large orders and high demand in the US
Demand in the US remained “very strong”, and there were also large orders, such as from the French army. The order from the French, which was placed in 2020 and has a term of three years, includes the delivery of 75,000 Glock pistols and accessories. The Austrians got nothing from a large order from the US Army.
