Cleared and more expensive – Milka chocolate is “advertising lies of the year”

Date:

The “Brazen’s Brazen Werlays of the year” is certain: it is the “Alpine Milk” chocolate from Milka. The manufacturer Mondelez had first raised the price for the board and shortly thereafter made the packages smaller – in general the table now costs almost half.

A third voted in an online voice from the Consumer Organization Foodwatch to give the abuse “Golden Care Pale” to the manufacturer Mondelez. He had raised the price for the “Milka Alpine Milk” table from 1.49 euros to 1.99 euros and shortly thereafter reduced the content of 100 to 90 grams.

As a result, this was a price increase of 48 percent, as Foodwatch emphasized. “The Milka table is a good example of Krinkflation, and that is precisely the reason why consumers have chosen them as the three -fold advertising of the year,” explains Rebekka Siegmann from Foodwatch. “Hidden price increases are an ever -popular stab in the food industry.”

Mondelez: “Well -Goed measures investigated”
Mondelez had declared the abuse during the nomination, the cocoa prices and the costs throughout the supply chain had risen enormously. In general, the business environment is “more complex and unstable than ever”. To remain competitive, the company had to “take well -investigated measures”. The new weight of the tables is given on the packaging and consumers were also informed in the online networks. Foodwatch, on the other hand, criticized that the change of change was not clearly noticed.

Smeck Salmon in second place
In the second place in the online vote with 21.1 percent of the voices, a Norwegian smoked salmon of the Fish Tales Company landed, who, according to Foodwatch, came from a smiling producer who caused violations of animal welfare. Moreover, the origin of the salmon could not be traced to the individual aqua arm.

Chocolate also in third place
The “Menstru Chocbar” of the Innonature Company was chosen in third place in the race for the Golden Cream Pale. “With iron, red maca and vitamin B6, it should contribute to the pit certificate during menstruation, although this has not been proven for one of the three ingredients,” Foodwatch criticized. 17.8 percent of the participants entitled to vote considered this the three -part advertising.

Margarine and iced tea in the top five
The Rama Margarine of the Flora Food Group and the Eartea Glow of the rapper Shirin David followed in places four and five. In the margarine, Foodwatch complained that it was advertised with the statement “100 percent natural ingredients”, although it was full of “additives and industrially produced ingredients”. Shirin David advertised her iced tea with a visible glow effect for “beautiful skin and nails”.

Foodwatch has awarded the golden color for the 14th time. The consumer organization has long been involved against the label labels and is demanding improved labeling rules. More than 58,000 votes were cast in the online vote this year.
