CaixaBank has increased the financial services it offers with its mobile offices by 47% by 2022 and is present in 626 municipalities at risk of financial exclusion, compared to the 426 municipalities it reached a year ago. Over the past year, the entity has added the province of Palencia to the service, as well as expanding routes in Ávila, Ciudad Real, Granada, Guadalajara, La Rioja, the Community of Madrid and Segovia.
According to the National Institute of Statistics, nearly 308,000 residents live in the cities CaixaBank serves through office mobiles, and a third of them are over the age of 60, demonstrating the entity’s commitment to the senior citizen group.
The mobile office service allows users, whether they are customers of the entity or not, to perform the most common banking operations, including cash withdrawals, deposits, and bill and tax payment.
The bank has 15 mobile branches that travel an average of 43,000 kilometers per month and offer their services in twelve provinces of six autonomous communities: Ávila, Segovia, Burgos and Palencia, in Castilla y León; Guadalajara, Ciudad Real and Toledo, in Castilla-La Mancha; Valencia and Castellón, in the Valencian Community; Granada, in Andalusia, the Community of Madrid and La Rioja. In addition, the entity has two other office mobiles in reserve to attend business, cultural and sporting events, such as the Madrid Book Fair.
Castilla y León, with seven office mobiles, is the autonomous community in which the service is most present in all of Spain. In addition, there are two mobile offices in cities in La Rioja, the Valencian Community and Castilla-La Mancha, while the province of Granada and the Community of Madrid are each served by one mobile office. CaixaBank office mobiles in Castilla y León serve a total of 338 municipalities. In Ávila, mobile offices serve a total of 127 cities and cover an average of 8,000 kilometers per month. Ávila is the province with the largest population in all of Spain. In addition, the mobile phones in the Segovia office provide financial coverage for 104 cities thanks to a route of 5,400 kilometers; in Palencia they reach 68 municipalities on routes of 2,700 kilometers per month, and in Burgos they provide service in 39 municipalities after a journey of almost 3,300 kilometers.
In La Rioja, the entity’s two mobile offices travel 4,900 kilometers during the month to provide coverage to 78 cities. In Castilla-La Mancha, the office mobile provides service in Guadalajara, where a mobile office travels a route of more than 4,100 kilometers to serve 31 cities; in Ciudad Real it covers 29 cities over a distance of more than 3,100 kilometers and a mobile office reaches two municipalities in Toledo.
In the Valencian Community, CaixaBank’s two mobile offices provide service at 70 locations. In Valencia they serve 34 municipalities with a route of almost 3,100 kilometers per month and in Castellón there are 36 inhabitants and more than 3,100 kilometers are covered.
In addition, the mobile branch serving the Community of Madrid makes it possible to carry out banking transactions in 43 municipalities over a distance of 2,700 kilometres, and the Granada route serves the population of 35 cities at risk of financial exclusion over a distance of more than 2,600 kilometers per month.
