Companies hope to become more attractive to employees, but there are differences between sectors as to whether the short week is feasible. Full pay compensation would be expensive for service positions, and it’s also unclear if the employees can permanently do the same amount in less time.
iIn the working time discussion there is movement again, parts of the economy and the trade unions like the four-day working week. Companies expect that this will make them more attractive to the employees they are urgently looking for. For employee representatives, the extended time off is good for health, compatibility with family and hobbies, and people would achieve at least as much as in five days.
