From the Vienna Woods to the desert state: an organic fruit juice manufacturer from Pressbaum has now signed a multimillion-dollar export deal with the largest supermarket chain in the Middle East – following in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo & Co.
You don’t have to be Neymar or Ronaldo to seek great fortune in the Middle East. The now ex-head coach of Red Bull Salzburg, Matthias Jaissle, also moved to Saudi Arabia for work. The fruit juice manufacturer Höllinger has also been expecting good business recently and is expanding its export network accordingly – Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates are already part of the customer base in the region.
Market volume like all of Austria
The first hundred pallets are already on their way and the organic packaging should be on the shelves of Riad & Co. at the end of August. have to lie down. Incidentally, the company, which is based in Pressbaum in the Vienna Woods, has acquired by far the largest retailer in all of Saudi Arabia as a partner in the Panda Group. “25 percent market coverage in the country with 40 million inhabitants corresponds to the total market volume of Austria,” explains Axel Fila, Managing Director of Höllerer.
The fruit juice manufacturer, which is best known for its naturally cloudy juice from Styrian apples, has already sold about half of its products abroad. With the Saudi deal, the export quota jumps to 60 percent. “We see huge potential for us in the whole Arab market,” says Fila, who aims to continuously expand the product range in Panda branches in the long term.
As a manager, however, he also uses words such as diversification: “Those who position themselves broadly get through crises better, we already noticed that with Corona.” Both at home and in the desert state, the traditional Austrian company wants to score further with naturalness and quality.
