A big bang in the repair industry: Austria’s largest workshop chain wants to save the ATU workshops and 430 jobs!
If that’s not “happiness”, sorry for the Christmas surprise!
25 ATU workshops
Just two days after 430 employees of the car repair chain ATU had to fear for their jobs following a ‘crisis meeting’ due to the company’s impending bankruptcy, Lucky Car controls as many of the 25 ATU workshops as possible – in all federal states. states except Burgenland – and therefore 430 jobs to be saved in the event of a takeover.
Lucky Car owner Ostoja “Ossi” Matic about the “Krone”: “With our proven and successful business concept, we want to make these locations suitable for the future.”
At the same time, the manager reiterated that in addition to preserving jobs, he also wanted to spare existing customers the sometimes annoying task of changing workshops.
44 locations in Austria
Lucky Car’s current workshop network includes 44 locations in Austria and two in Switzerland. Matic sees the “sophisticated mix of franchise and own locations” as the secret of the success so far. In addition, the “freedom of contract” may also have contributed to the positive development of the company, which opened in 2008.
If no unpleasant surprises arise during the inspection of the ATU workshops, there will be no obstacle to a “blast of luck” in the red-white-red car repair industry.
