The corona pandemic has once again claimed an economic victim: the Viennese dance school Svabek GmbH is bankrupt and has to close.
The company was founded by Roman Svabek, who became best known for his work at the Vienna Opera Ball. He worked for years as master of ceremonies at the ball and was responsible for the opening.
The company, based in Vienna-Alsergrund, was no longer able to reverse the economic trend even after the lifting of the corona measures, it was said. No renovation is planned. According to the information available to credit protection association KSV1870, the debts amount to approximately 337,000 euros.
Dance lessons must still take place
Roman Svabek emphasized to the APA that the company was bankrupt – and that it would also be closed. Dance lovers can hope, though. What happens next is still unclear in detail, Svabek emphasizes. There are still dance courses that continue, he said.
