The fifth edition of the CEAPI Congress, held in the Dominican Republic, brings together more than 300 personalities from the Ibero-American business and institutional sphere

The fifth edition of CEAPI Congress culminated in the determination to continue to build ‘more Ibero America’ and consolidate a unified, sustainable and digitized region. With his presence on the two days of the Congress, the Dominican Minister of Industry and Trade, Ito Bisonó, emphasized the role of CEAPI as a forum for exchanges between businessmen and institutions for the benefit of the social, economic and financial stability of the region, as well as in the role of the Dominican Republic as a growth lever for Ibero-America in the coming decades. In this regard, the minister pointed out that “we are certainly facing an unprecedented global context, but one that presents an unprecedented opportunity for our countries, which should promote greater cooperation and integration at the regional level, stimulate and bring new investments that translate into greater economic and social development for all countries that make up Ibero-America».

With a special focus on the key role of innovation, digitization and technology, this edition closes with a commitment to capitalize on the opportunities presented by the region, add value to existing resources and alliances and actively generate new ones. In this way, the group of business and institutional personalities gathered at the congress agreed on the major challenge facing the region in the coming decades, and emphasized the need to continue to innovate and entrepreneurship and to strengthen cooperation with interest groups. to make the best use of the potential that the Ibero-American country offers.

During the two days of the Congress, most of the business executives and senior executives who attended the V CEAPI Congress wanted to endorse the manifesto prepared in this edition, which outlines the challenges and goals of the local private sector for the coming decades. discussed and reflects the commitment needed with the Ibero-America of the future, which “has tremendous potential to capitalize on the transformations caused by the pandemic to key natural resources, demographics and growing venture capital.”
