When it comes to taxes, the positions clearly differ. SPÖ leader Babler focused mainly on ‘the rich’, who according to him should contribute much more to the welfare state. On the other hand, there is a quasi-coalition of those who believe that the tax ceiling has been reached and some even want tax cuts. ÖVP, NEOS and FPÖ tend to do so, the Greens are more ambivalent.
