The Ramsau am Dachstein Future Forum celebrated its premiere under the motto “The champions of the future are WE!” Against the fantastic backdrop of the Dachstein Massif, the event impressed not only with top-class lectures and panels, but also with a special atmosphere that allowed dialogue and networking at eye level. More than 250 decision-makers from business, sports and politics came together to discuss the future issues of our time and provide sustainable impulses.

“The Future Forum is an event that makes the public aware of the challenges of the future. And helps create the enthusiasm among companies that is needed to master this,” emphasized Minister of Economic Affairs Martin Kocher during a power panel chaired by Rainer Nowak, head of the “Krone” department for economics and politics , at the start of the Future Forum.

The success of the Future Forum shows that dialogue is the most important tool for meeting the challenges of the future.

Ideas for the future, wine and lots of warmth
The Styrian impulse evening as part of the Future Forum in the rustic Ramsauer Waldschenke provided the backdrop for continuing the conversation in a relaxed atmosphere after an intensive day. With delicacies and a wine tasting, a relaxed atmosphere quickly emerged, allowing a personal exchange with prominent guests, including the editor-in-chief of “Krone” and editor-in-chief of “Steirekrone” Klaus Herrmann.

In particular, the focus was on world skiing champion Nici Schmidhofer and Olympic kitesurfing champion Valentin Bontus. In a humorous and at the same time motivational speech, Bontus gave insight into his future: “The training for Sardinia will start again in November. The second day at the Future Forum started sportily: Early in the morning, more than 50 participants got moving at the “run4future” around the Ramsau ski jump and together with cross-country skiing legend Alois Stadlober and his daughter Olympic champion Teresa Stadlober, the event got off to a lively start. the day.

The fresh mountain air and the impressive panorama of the mountains created the ideal setting to gain inspiration for new ways of thinking.

At the end of the event, the organizers of the Future Forum presented a check for 2,000 euros on Thursday evening to Alois Stadlober, chairman of WSV Ramsau, who managed to recruit 15 new members “in one go”.
