Brucknerhaus case – shock: next director of LIVA released

Date:

Once again there is commotion around the events company Linz (LIVA): René Esterbauer, the new commercial director since January, was surprisingly dismissed with immediate effect. Allegations have been made against him, which are now being investigated by the chairman of the supervisory board, Vice Mayor Dietmar Prammer confirmed.

As soon as the situation seemed to stabilize after the Brucknerhaus scandal surrounding former director Dietmar Kerschbaum and ex-mayor Klaus Luger, the following commotion arose in LIVA: René Esterbauer, who took over after Kerschbaum was released and subsequently fired, was released on Wednesday by representative of the owner Dietmar Prammer.

Conversations are taking place
“On Friday, new information in the Luger-Kerschbaum case emerged from the chairman of the supervisory board, Meinhard Lukas,” Prammer confirmed in an interview with the “Krone”. He will now investigate the matter in consultation with him. A conversation with LIVA’s lawyer has already taken place.

Further discussions are now being held with employees to find out the truth of the allegations. Prammer did not want to say what exactly it was about – “out of respect for Mr. Esterbauer, he also deserves honesty.”

It is still unclear who will take over LIVA on an interim basis. Legal investigation is currently underway to determine whether one of the two attorneys is authorized to represent the company, Prammer says. “We must find a solution so that LIVA can continue trading.”
