Unsurprisingly, Linz-based multi-restaurateur Philipp Kaufmann finally took the plunge on Tuesday morning – announcing in a press release that he would be withdrawing from all his gastronomy businesses with immediate effect.
“We can hereby inform you that KaBB GmbH has divested all gastro investments. We therefore ask that questions about the various companies be addressed to the new owners, visible in the trade register.
Multi-restaurateur takes himself out of the game
Managing Director Philipp Kaufmann: “It is in the nature of our business model to acquire, support and ultimately sell companies, which is what happened here. I wish the new operators all the best and much success for the future.”
With this press release, multi-restaurateur Philipp Kaufmann, who originally aimed to run ten restaurants in Linz and the surrounding area, has now taken himself out of the game after the numerous inconsistencies of recent weeks and months.
What’s next in Ober- and Lunzerwirt?
While the Cubus has recently found a new tenant and the Marktfleischer and Beenie in Urfahr have only recently closed their doors, it will be particularly interesting to see what happens next with new operators in Oberwirt and Lunzerwirt. Equally exciting: what happens to the venerable Lindbauer? Will it become an inn again in the foreseeable future or, as has been rumored lately, a hotel?
