The listed Strabag construction group has now found a successor for the completely surprisingly deceased CEO Klemens Haselsteiner.
The 48 -year -old Stefan Kratochwill takes over the agendas from the son of founder Hans Peter Haselsteiner with immediate effect. Kratochwill was the most recent head of the central area and director of Strabag-Baumaschinen-Draaughter BMTI GMBH. There he was responsible for around 3,000 employees internationally, as Strabag announced on Wednesday.
Klemens Haselsteiner died unexpectedly in mid -January at the age of 44. In the meantime, the other board members took over the agenda.
With the “Work on Progress” program, Klemens Haselsteiner had initiated one of the most extensive transformation processes in Strabag history after the Russian activities caused challenges due to the war in Ukraine.
The Haselsteiner family owns 30.7 percent of the shares in the Strabag SE, which was mentioned in the leading index ATX of the Vienna Stock Exchange.
