Andritz had to struggle last year with “Economic Headwind”. Compared to the record year 2023, the styric machine and the manufacturer of the factory in the 2024 financial year was less sales and profit. But since 2022 it has been going up.
“Because of the economic headwind, we could not grow in 2024,” said CEO Joachim Schönbeck, according to the announcement. The sale of the listed company in the 2024 financial year amounted to 8.31 billion euros. That is four percent less than in the previous year. The win was also slightly lower than in the previous year. He fell by 1.5 percent to 496.5 million euros. In the record year 2023, the profit increased by an incredible 25 percent to more than 500 million euros.
The order input – the sum of all orders – also decreased slightly by 3 percent to EUR 8.28 billion in 2024. Despite the small min, Schönbeck believes that positive words before sale, profit and order intake: “We have proactively adjusted our capacities and we are able to improve our operational profitability.”
The board wants to propose an increase in the dividend of 2.50 euros per share to the general meeting. Before 2025, Andritz now expects the project activity to be new in all markets and a largely stable development of sales and operational profitability. Turnover is expected from 8.0 to 8.3 billion euros.
