Alfred Stern remains only CEO and CEO of the OMV until the end of August 2026. The 60-year-old announced on Tuesday that he will not extend his position after the current period.
Stern, who led the OMV chemical daughter Borealis, took on the task as OMV CEO on 1 September 2021. At that time he received a three-year contract with an extension option for two more years on both sides. Stern was only moved to the OMV sign on April 1, 2021. He was responsible for the area of chemicals and materials.
