The initiative of a citizens fought for 15 years in Kramsach in Tyrol to lay a line of 110 kV from the settlement area for 15 years. Successful! The old ladder cables have now been removed.
A high voltage line remained about primary school, the pension house and countless private homes? “That is not possible,” thought Christian Mück more than 15 years ago, when a major renovation was in the room. In Kramsach he focused the initiative of the citizens on ‘Life Without High Spension’, which has since been fighting from the village for moving the 110 kV management.
The fact that the subject of 2000 Zündstoff influenced was recognized three years after the founding of the Citizens’ Initiative before the coming State elections in 2013. “This year, Tinetz board member Franz Honer was the first time he left the old route for the first time,” Mück recalls. A few years earlier they wanted to make him and his colleague campaigners to see that you do not see a route alternative.
In 2015 there were the first plans, but the project was postponed several times. “There were hard negotiations with the farmers, whose forests should lead the new route,” says Mück.
“Historical event” after years of fight
The effort was worth it. After the power change in 2022 and with BM Andreas Gang, movement came into play, and suddenly everything went relatively fast. In mid-May, electricity flowed through the new 110 kV line for the first time, which now runs on the mountain north of Kramsach. A few days ago the old conductor cables in Kramsach were removed. “A historical event,” says Mück, “for the first time in almost 100 years there are no more powerful power cables above our heads.” If it had not been possible to move the route of the settlement area, a new 110 kV line in the middle of the village would perhaps be 100 years old in the middle of the village. “The old Stromtrasse has finally experienced four currencies,” says Mück.
Invested 44 million euros
The work must finally be completed in the fall. “When all lines have moved, the mast is demolished and recycled in the settlement area. Then the old foundations are sanded to one meter depth,” Tinetz Managing Director Thomas Rieder explains. The total costs for the new route for the four building sections Kirchbichl-Beangangerberg, Breitenbach, Kundl and Kramsach are 44 million euros.
