New tenant Wanted – Salzburg Cult Local: “Bottle came surprising”

“Yes, we are open,” explains the beautiful waitress patiently. It is not the first time that she is asked if the traditional Gasthuis of Salzburg is really open. Because: as reported, it has to fight white with debts. At the start of the week, a bankruptcy application was submitted against the tenant company. A creditor wants to assert his long -awaited claims. Despite the horror exercise, the local operation continues.

The Cult -Gastherehuis in Schallmoos has been under a new tenant since the beginning of 2024. With Michael Rodler (Fideler Affe), the innkeeper, who has been in trouble, is also no stranger to the Salzburg gastro scene. Weisse -owner Felix Gmacl, after more than three decades of tenants through Gustl Abmann, has spoken for his restaurant.

“If necessary, I do that myself”
For GMACHL, the bankruptcy application came out of nowhere. He even learned about it through the “Kroon”. “That really came to me very surprisingly,” said the owner and the owner of the brewery. GMACHL wants to process everything as quickly as possible. He does not want to determine whether it will continue with the old or new tenant. However, the inn is secured. “We will find a solution. If necessary, I will do it myself,” says tenant Gmachl.

Especially now on hot summer days, the garden is always full. Schaallmoos’s rise flows freely. Friends of the top-formulated beer from the Weisse Brewery do not have to worry: the domestic wheat beer is not influenced by bankruptcy. The production is completely detached from the inn and is and remains in the hands of Felix Gmacl.
