‘La dama boba’ opens the Alcantarilla Theater Festival on September 17th

Taking place from September 17 to October 23, between the Aqueduct Park, the Infanta Elena Cultural Center and Adolfo Suárez Square, the Alcantarilla Theater Festival will feature eight theater performances this year, including the classic Golden Age comedy ‘La dama boba’ (September 17). ); ‘El spoilsport’ (September 23), with Josema Yuste and Santiago Urrialde; ‘The sense of humor: two fools and me’ (September 24), with Flo, Mota and Segura, and ‘Between drinks’ (September 30), with Juanjo Artero.

The family shows ‘How to be a good Quijote’ (September 18) and ‘Glubs’ (October 23) by Yllana and Nacho Vilar Producciones can also be enjoyed in Alcantarilla; ‘Malnacido’ (October 7), with Fernando Caride, and ‘Despedida de casada’, by the Murcian company Doble K Teatro, with Rocío Bernal, Inmaculada Rufete, Eva Torres and Susi Espín. In addition, from September 23 to October 23, the Museo de la Huerta offers the exhibition ‘Arriba el curtain’ with more than 20 national and international artists. Among the works are the hyper-realistic sculptures of Marc Sijan and Thomas Klueber, as well as the paintings and photographs of Jorge Pérez Parada, Mariano Vargas, Samuel Salcedo, Kerstin Jedwill, Pablo Ruiz, Carlos Aires, Joel Peter Witkin, Iván Prieto, Andrzej Dragan, Lluis Roig, Anthony Gayton, Juan Piza, Rainer Elstermann and Hu Qingyan. This exhibition is organized by the Institute of Art and Culture, curated by Eva Hernández.
