Film festival: how to apply for the discount and which films can you see

Date:

Tickets will be offered with a discount on October 3, 4, 5 and 6

The Film Festival returns to Spanish theaters. Movie tickets will be offered at a discount on October 3, 4, 5 and 6. The 2022 Film Festival lasts one day longer than usual, on other occasions it was three days instead of four. From Monday to Thursday, tickets cost only 3.50 euros thanks to this event organized by the Federation of Cinemas of Spain (FECE) together with the federation of distributors (Fedicine) and the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Art (ICAA).

To obtain accreditation for the 2022 Film Festival, all you need to do is go to the event’s website and select the ‘Register Now’ option. Then, users who have not completed this process before will need to fill in a series of details and download the accreditation to present it in the cinema.

Once you’re on the web, you’ll need to select whether you want individual or group accreditation. The individual will serve for a single person who, in addition to the accreditation, must present the DNI at the box office to be able to get a ticket for 3.50 euros. If you choose the group accreditation option, you can register a maximum of 10 people, which means that only one person needs to submit this accreditation.

Then you have to indicate whether it is the first time you enter the web or if you have done it before, where you have to use the access data to get the accreditation. If you’ve never done it before, you should select ‘I’m new’. To finish, all you need to do is fill out a form with your details and click ‘Accredit me’. Please note that you must show your ID at the cash register.

If you want to buy a cinema ticket online, then the accreditation is also useful, although you have to show it once in the cinema together with your ID. The presale of online tickets starts on September 28, but you can only take advantage of this discount at the box office on October 3.

The film festival will be held in cinemas across Spain on October 3, 4, 5 and 6 with numerous proposals. Since it is not possible to know for sure which films that have already been released will remain on the billboards of all cinemas, you can look back to see what the most recent news will be. Two Fridays before the Film Festival, Olivia Wilde’s new film, ‘Don’t worry, dear’, will be screened in Spanish theaters. ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and ‘Rainbow’ by Paco León will hit theaters.

David Cronenberg also returns to the big screen with ‘Crimes of the Future’ and Alberto Rodríguez with ‘Model 77’. ‘Smile’, ‘Moonage Daydream’ and ‘Wild Girl’ will premiere on September 30. In addition, ‘Black is Beltza II: Ainhoa’, ‘The Rite of Spring’, ‘Labordeta, a man without more’, ‘La vida padre’, ’42 seconds’, ‘The invitation’ or ‘Journey to paradise’.
