Recognition of talent in food campaigns

ElPozo, Campofrío and Ruavieja, one of the winners of the Food and Drink Experiential Communication Awards, presented yesterday

Together with the Hospitality Industry (an entity made up of the Hospitality Industry of Spain, the Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries, FIAB, and the Association of Manufacturers and Distributors, AECOC) held the first Awards for Experiential Communication on food and drink in Murcia last night.

The winners are, according to the initiators, an example and reference for strengthening the link between the emotional part and its contribution to the identity formation of the country and society as a whole. The gala, held in the Odiseo space, was hosted by the journalist and presenter José Ribagorda. The President of Hospitality of Spain, José Luis Yzuel, and the President of the Hotel Association of Murcia (HoyTú), Jesús Jiménez Avellaneda, were responsible for making the opening greeting.

In the audiovisual campaigns category, Campofrío and its ‘Vivir es acojonante’ campaign was the award-winning company. The award recognizes the creativity and ability to connect with the emotions of this initiative launched by the food brand last Christmas 2021.

The ‘online’ and ‘social media’ campaign that received the award was ‘I want to see you better’. With his Christmas proposal, Ruavieja tried to emphasize the importance of relationships during the difficult period of incarceration and pandemic.

As for the campaign in the press and print magazine, the prize went to El Pozo Alimentación for its ‘Extratiernos’ campaign. A recognition of the importance of gastronomy and food to arouse sensations and emotions, in this case using a table as a place where you eat, laugh and share.

Another award delivered at the gala was that of outdoor advertising, which went to the Osborne Group and its emblematic bull. This family business, which celebrates its 250th anniversary this year, is a pioneer in this type of communication and has managed to create an emblem of national identity with it.

For the best comprehensive campaign, the prize went to Cruzcampo and his ‘Highly Accent’ campaign, for conveying the values ​​of Spanish gastronomy and culture.

Finally, a special category prize was awarded to Food from Spain, and the campaign launched by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food which bears the name ‘The richest country in the world’, with the collaboration of Chef José Andrés. Following the awards ceremony, there was dinner in the Odiseo area with a menu by the Michelin-starred chef, Nazario Cano, of Odiseo.

This Friday, two roundtables will be held in the presence of chefs such as Susi Díaz, cook and owner of La Finca (Elche) and president of Saborea España; Nazario Cano, Chef of Odysseus; Andoni Luis Aduriz, chef and owner of restaurant Mugaritz (Guipuzkoa); and Ferran Adrià, chef and creator of ‘ElBulliFoundation’.
