The space will bring together a selection of writers of national and regional relevance, responsible for a work that covers different topics

The fifth edition of the Murcia Book Fair starts this Thursday with 60 stands. This year, THE TRUTH will be present in booths 54 and 55, which will provide a space where more than 30 authors will pass by to sign copies of their literary works to those in attendance. An angle that brings together a selection of writers of national and regional relevance, responsible for a production that covers different genres and themes: poetry, crime novels, science, graphic novels, gastronomy, humor…

On Thursday, Magdalena Sánchez Blesa will be the first to pass the newsstand to sign copies of her work. The poet – and socialist deputy in the Regional Assembly – is the author of, among others, ‘You need’, ‘Ballad for my parents’ and ‘Instructions for my children’. Lorenzo Silva and Noemí Trujillo, who are responsible for delivering the opening speech of the fair, will also be at the stand to sign ‘La forja de un rebel’. This is the second case of Inspector Manuela Mauri, who will lie awake for a double crime in Alcalá de Henares. The session will conclude on Thursday Juan Arcones. The writer and screenwriter will sign copies of ‘Someone for you’.

On Friday, two illustrators open the afternoon: Salva Espín and Ilu Ros. The former remains a reference in the world of comics, while the latter has seen his work with ‘Federico’, a project dedicated to the figure of Federico García Lorca that won the Muleña the Murcian Book prize from the year 2021. The second day goes continues with Carmen Mola, the pseudonym that includes Jorge Díaz, Lorca Agustín Martínez and Antonio Mercero, winners of the Planeta Prize 2021. The authors are signing copies of their latest novel, ‘Las madres’, the fourth installment of a saga that began with ‘ The Gypsy Bride’. Pilar Sánchez bids farewell to the day, which will sign ‘The daughter of the tides’.

Saturday will be a day full of appointments. The morning is dedicated to meeting authors from Calasparra, a municipality that has been invited to the Book Fair. Behind them, the ‘youtuber’ Martina D’Antiochia signs copies of their books. The day continues with María Martínez, Mónica Rouanet, Guillermo Borao, Nando Abad and his ‘Ideas to look happy’, and Emilio del Río draws ‘Crazy for the classics’, about the great writers of Greece and Rome.

Sunday another YouTuber, this time from Murcia: Clodett. There are also Men Marías, winner of Cartagena Negra 2022, and Mar Moreno, winner of Icue Negro as a debutant in the genre; the writer Manuel Vilas, who will sign copies of ‘Una sola vida’, a large anthology of unpublished poems; and the Murcian Joaquín Abenza, passionate about mystery.

The week starts on Monday with the live broadcast of the podcast ‘#loquesevenir’, by Mónica Jara. A day on which the activist Desirée Bela-Lobedde and the professor, scientific disseminator and collaborator of THE TRUTH José Manuel López Nicolás will also be present, who will sign ‘The science of champions’.

Irene X and Aixa and her illustrated poetry will pass the booth on Tuesday. So is Carlos Salem. The writer and journalist will sign ‘Madrid kills us’, a bomb with several burning fuses in the multicultural district of Lavapiés. Arturo González Campos, for his part, will sign ‘Congratulations on your failure’. The monologue, announcer and screenwriter encourages its readers to “persevere in what you are passionate about”. The Cartagenae Anna Hernández and the poet from Alcantarilla Manuel Martínez Blanca say goodbye to the day.

On the 12th the Boekenbeurs will say goodbye and with it the signatures in the booth of THE TRUTH. They will be Susana Rodríguez Lezaun, who will dedicate ‘Under the skin’; the pediatrician Laura Álvarez, with ‘Ready, ready, yum’; chef Bosquet and his timeless recipe book ‘Express’; Rodrigo Cortés with ‘Verbolario’, a “satiric, humorous and poetic dictionary”; and María Reig, who will sign ‘The Thousand Names of Freedom’, a story that transports the reader to a frenetic historical moment.

The adolescent and pre-adolescent public will have two special appointments at the LA VERDAD booth during the Murcia Book Fair. The first of these is on Saturday, with a visit to the city by Martina D’Antiochia. This internet celebrity is 17 years old and has 4 million subscribers to his YouTube channel, which contains videos with more than 40 million views, and 5 million followers on Tik Tok. This success made him jump into the book world and published the saga ‘Martina’s fun’, consisting of ‘Magic in the forest’ and ‘An unforgettable moment’.

The second of the representatives of the “youtuber” world is Clodett. The Murcian will visit THE TRUTH’s booth this Sunday. Claudia Martínez is 14 years old and on her YouTube channel she has become known for her videos of challenges and parodies with her family. He has three million followers on YouTube with his channels ‘El mundo de Clodett’, ‘El Diario de Clodett’ and ‘Clodett 2.0’, and nearly 500,000 on Tik Tok.

It is present in the literary world through two collections: ‘The Clodett Mysteries’ and ‘The World of Clodett’. On October 13, the new book of this latest saga will go on sale, entitled ‘Superlío sin brake’. In total, it has nearly twenty titles on the market.
