Singer Aaron Carter dies aged 34 after multiple addictions

American singer and actor Aaron Carter, 34, was found dead on Saturday at his home in Lancaster, California. That reports the news portal of the show TMZ citing police sources. He himself had known for a long time that he had problems with alcohol and drug addiction. He was also diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, manic depression and anxiety.

The late artist released four studio albums, the first of which (Aaron Carter’) was published in 1997 – when he was only nine years old – and reached gold status, selling over a million copies in several countries. During his childhood, he also toured with his brother’s band. In 2000, he released another successful album (‘Aaron’s party’) which went triple platinum and later completed his transition as an artist from pop to rap and other specialties.

Last September, the singer revealed that he had “voluntarily” checked into a half-board program to try to regain custody of his son Prince, who is now just 11 months old.

Carter had previously said he was seeking help to manage the “triggers” that led him to smoke marijuana. He also admitted to taking Xanax as part of a “regulated drug” plan to “keep him free from inhaling dust.”
