The communicator developed his career at RNE, a channel with which he was associated for 43 years until September 2001, when he stopped presenting ‘Radiogaceta de los deportes’, the oldest sports program on Spanish radio. Publicly, he was also director and presenter of ‘Tablero deportivo’, from 2008 to 2013.

Abad graduated in journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid and started his career at Antena 3, although he later moved to Radiocadena Española where he was Head of Sports, a position he repeated on Radio 5 and twice on Radio Nacional.
