The Co Down man will sit down with friends and family on Wednesday to watch the latest episode of Naked Attraction.
27-year-old Ronan Rice will be stripped naked in a segment of the Channel 4 show this evening, as he claims to proudly represent the LGBTQ+ and plus-size communities.
When he first approached her for the show, Ronan said no, his temper was broken. But after thinking about it for a while, he decided “Why not?”.
Speaking on Belfast Live ahead of the show, Ronan said: “I’m so excited for this evening. I’ve been waiting for it for seven months and it’s hard not to tell people.
“This is the night. I think people are expecting a lot of dancing and fun. The only thing I can say is that I’m very happy to represent the gay community and plus size men. Biggest guy on Wednesday’s episode and I’m so proud of that.”
“I have some friends tonight and we’re ordering food for the holidays. We also have a lot of prose for our nude attractions.
“My mom was about to watch it too, she didn’t like it at first, but she will be there tonight with me and my friends. It will be a lot of fun.”
In the dating series, led by TV presenter Anna Richardson, an individual will encounter a group of six potential complainants who rely solely on the power of “naked attraction.”
Abstract hopes stand in separate nests, while a voter reveals part of his body in each round according to what is least attractive.
Ronan was no stranger to trolling and online bullying because the decision was coming to TV.
But it is these negative comments that give him the motivation to pursue what he loves most.
He added, “My message to people with negative comments is yes, I’m fat, I’m big, and I have big lips, but you know what: I live a fine life.
“If people just want to hate me, they are obviously a little obsessed with me. Keep giving it to me, because it gives me the desire to keep going.”
The downpatrick guy, who has an endless list of TV experiences, is also in the midst of filming a new show with Vogue Williams.
Naked Attraction airs today at 10pm on Canale 4.
