Lovers of pop, rock, heavy or metal will be able to find their perfect concert in 2023 without leaving the region of Murcia. Numerous national and international artists have set their sights on the community to offer endless shows; some of which are already sold out.

On Sunday, January 22, El Batel de Cartagena will host the show of the Film Symphony Orchestra, which hopes to gather more than 1,800 people with its ‘Krypton’ tour. This time the repertoire will revolve around hero and superhero films, including pieces from feature films such as ‘Superman’, ‘The Incredibles’ or ‘Robin Hood’. The concert, which will also take place in Murcia on Saturday the 21st, is already sold out.

As part of their ‘The Epic Apocalypse Tour’, the symphonic metal bands Epica and Apocalyptica, supported by the progressive metal group Wheel, will give a concert on February 11 at the Gamma Hall in Murcia.

The New York post-punk and alternative rock band Interpol, known for songs like ‘Untitled’ or ‘C’mere’, will give a concert at the Sala Mamba in Murcia on February 24 on the occasion of the presentation of their new album ‘The other side of appearance’.

Pablo Alborán, one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters in the Spanish scene, will perform on June 3rd at the Plaza de Toros in Murcia as part of the Murcia On cycle. With this concert, the man from Malaga presents his latest album ‘La cuarta hoja’, which was released on December 2nd.

‘Against all expectations’. This is the title that gives its name to the tour with which Joaquín Sabina plans to tour Latin America, Central America and Spain. One of the stops on his tour, which begins in Costa Rica in February, is Murcia, where he will perform at the Plaza de Toros on July 1.

Argentinian actress, singer and songwriter, Martina Stoessel, also known as ‘Tini’ rose to fame for her performance in the Violetta series on Disney Channel Latin America. Since then he has not stopped reaping successes. With three albums published and more than 60 million views on digital platforms, Murcians can now enjoy their show on Thursday, July 13 at the Plaza de Toros in Murcia.

More than two hours of ‘show’ is what Alejandro Sanz has to offer on Saturday, July 15 at the Plaza de Toros in the capital. The singer was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2022 Latin Grammys, as his latest album ‘SANZ’ was the best-selling album in Spain in 2021.

On Tuesday 18 July it is the turn of British rocker Rod Stewart. Murcia is one of four cities in Spain that the musician has chosen for his tour. In music since the 1960s, the artist has participated in bands such as The Jeff Beck Group and Faces. Now, after more than 40 years as a soloist, Stewart takes the stage in Murcia’s Plaza de Toros to thrill the audience with songs like ‘Forever young’. “Maggie May” or “Do you think I’m sexy?”

Without a doubt, the most ‘heavy’ Murcians are lucky. Iron Maiden visits the capital on Thursday, July 20 to perform a concert at the Enrique Roca Stadium in Nueva Condomina. It is the fourth time that the band sets foot in the Region, this time to let the public enjoy their tour ‘The Future Past Tour 2023’. Considered one of the most important metal groups in history, Iron Maiden includes Murcia as one of three Spanish cities where it will perform; the others are Barcelona (Palau San Jordi, July 18) and Bilbao (Bizkaia Arena Bec!, July 22).

With a gold record and more than a million albums sold during his career, Manuel Carrasco returns to the bullring of Murcia on July 21 to present his new album ‘Corazón y flecha’.

On August 4, Simply Red will play classics from their repertoire such as ‘Stars’, ‘Holding Back The Years’ or ‘Fairground’. The British group, which has sold more than 55 million records, will take the stage at the Plaza de Toros in Murcia.

Almost two years later, the Puerto Rican singer and composer Rauw Alejandro returns to perform in Murcia. It’s Friday, September 15 at the Espacio Nueva Condomina and he’s doing it in the middle of a world tour with which he will present his third album ‘Saturno’.
