The nineteenth edition of the Imagina emerging art festival will be inaugurated with the presentation of the pictorial work ‘Damnatio Memoriae’ by artist Antonio Cervantes in the hall of the town hall, on Thursday 4 May at 8 pm. held between May 4 and 7 in various public spaces in the municipality of San Javier. The councilor for youth, Isabel Madrid, presented yesterday the new edition of the festival that will host a total of nine works, the majority of artists from outside the region, and with the participation of groups such as Aidemar and Ápices, who have also been other years part of the festival. The program continues with the fire show ‘Mother Earth, Daughter Sea’ by Natividad Guerrero on Friday, May 5 at 9:00 pm in Plaza de España and Plaza Miguel Gallego; and with ‘Monolitos esferas’, by Jonhatan López, who gives faces to the balls that delineate the spaces on the Paseo Colón. In addition, the collective Heba, with Cristóbal Hernández, offers a clay workshop on the same day with ‘En tu parque o en el mío’. The festival includes a day of coexistence and a meeting open to all young artists of any origin and will take place on Saturday, May 6 from 11 a.m. on the esplanade of Barnuevo, where there will be several food bars, run by local restaurants , and that of Brothers, which will participate in the festival for another year with several DJs. Re-introduce yourself with the guys from Ápices Salud Mental de Cartagena, who will exhibit their work in the Youth and Aidemar Department. In the sports center, the archery booths will be canvases for Arturo Mateo, from Artmateo, and his work ‘En el punto de mira’. The graffiti artist Dante Arcade will take his ‘Digital mind’ to the wall of the municipal outdoor swimming pool in the Sports Center and the esplanade of Barnuevo will be the scene of Pedro’s ‘bodygraff’ on May 5 and 6 A.
