The Co Antrim singer, who went viral after Taylor Swift’s performance in Belfast, said she felt “exactly where you should have been” when she performed at Ulster Hall.
Earlier this week, Tiernan Hefron opened with acclaimed songwriter Tom Grenan at The Belfast and Dublin Show.
The Randallstown man rose to fame in 2021 when Taylor Swift suddenly came to a concert downtown and listened to his song.

Speaking on Belfast Live, Tierne shared how opening his music icon was an “absolute dream”.
He said: “I work as a class assistant at a special needs school – Tom Grenan is my favorite artist and I knew he was coming to Belfast, so six months ago when I was having lunch I had a guitar and I scored 20. – The second video where I sing Little Bit of Love.
“I put it on TikTok and asked people to blow it up so Tom could see him and ask me to open it up for him in Belfast next year. He got 20,000 views or something.”

After news of her performance with Taylor Swift, she was invited to Captial FM with Roman Kemp for a once in a lifetime talk about her.
“They asked me who my favorite artist was and they said Tom Grenan and put him on display to ask me if I would open it up for him in Belfast next year, at Ulster Hall. Then about ten days before the concert, they showed me Dublin.
“Now I’m just diving into what an absolute dream comes true – and I shivered both nights,” she smiled.
“I felt exactly where I should be and am fully prepared for that at this point in my life.
“Since I was 15, I’ve done thousands of cover shows and dreamed of doing in all of them, like Ulster Hall.
“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit nervous, but I was able to take them to my performance.”
Terran has the opportunity to meet Tom Grenan backstage and talk about how they crossed the street as Tom admitted he was searched after covering up for Taylor Swift, which Teran said was “weird” and “didn’t believe”.
Tiernan added, “I was doing crew work after the Ulster Hall parties and I remember I was so hungry and still hungry, and I thought one day, ‘I want to come here and know I can if I can – and then it happened.
“It couldn’t get any better and you’ll never know what’s going to happen and I’m a huge fan of good success stories myself and I don’t think my story will ever be discovered by Taylor Swift – it opened. Countless doors for me.”
She’s now completely independent as an artist and directs everything on her music for the first time and just released her new single “Closer” last week.
“This is my first song being released — I feel like this is my first song as a performer and I really have my voice,” he continued.

“This song has been playing for several years and this week everything I’ve worked on my whole life has come together in some way.
“My dream is to have the first album in the UK and to make people grow and happy and to be able to take the next person with me and to be able to fulfill someone else’s dream, like Tom did for myself.”
Tiernan still aspires to the top, but he has all the personal goals he’s been able to achieve over the past year
He said, “I’ve been going out to The Harp Bar on St. Paddy’s Day and have always wanted to play there and it would be great for me to make such small goals or to go to London and shoot my music video. I don’t jump too much and just accept everything as it is.”
“If I can break it anywhere in the world, it’s not America or anywhere else, it’s here and I’m known locally for being happy and successful.”
